About Us

Why Morning Glory?

Morning glories bloom each morning as they receive the day's sun and, much like this beloved flower, we believe mothers have the best chance to bloom when we get them in the light.

"I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness." - John 12:46

Our Story

Morning Glory Care was founded by Rachel Holt. As a first time mom in COVID-19 quarantine, her postpartum season solidified the belief that motherhood is a journey not meant to be made alone. Morning Glory Care is a chance to see that truth lived out in Charlotte and beyond.

We are ready to walk with you through motherhood: to hold the baby so you can sleep, walk, take a long shower or read in peace. To offer nutritious food you don’t have to cook. To entertain your toddler so you can get time to soak in baby snuggles. Or to give the baby snuggles so you can soak in time with your toddler. To encourage you through breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or just feeding yourself. To spot signs of postpartum depression and anxiety and point you toward professionals to help. To pick up the house or start the laundry so you can breathe. We are here to assure you that in the ups and downs of the fourth trimester - you are not alone.

Morning Glory Care would love to walk with you and help you bloom in motherhood!

"...who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too." - 2 Corinthians 1:4-5

Morning Glory Care

The CDC estimates that 1 in 8 women experience postpartum depression after birth.

Research by the APA found that 33% of parents reported high levels of stress compared with 20% of other adults.

The US Surgeon General issued a national advisory on the "mental health and well-being of parents."

To help with this, Morning Glory Care fights to push back the darkness of the postpartum transition. Whatever darkness you are facing, Morning Glory Care wants to help position you to get the best morning sun to help you bloom.
